Boston & Sandwich Artist made Dolphin Toy Miniature Candlestick

Amethyst Toy Miniature Dolphin Candlestick - Artist Piece. Created and produced by Mr. Kirk Nelson, curator of the New Bedford Museum of Glass in 1993. They are modeled
after the famous Dolphin candlesticks made by the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. of Sandwich, Mass.
with the original hang tag which states "Dolphin candlesticks are one of the best-known products of the old Boston & Sandwich Glass Company, which operated on Cape Cod from 1825-1888.  Today, authentic miniatures of this cherished collectible are being made for the first time in a small Cape Cod glass shop. Hand crafted with a press designed in 1831, each miniature dolphin is a delightful reminder of our rich glass heritage."  The piece stands 2 3/4" tall. The base is etched with KN '93, which stands for Kirk Nelson 1993. See all photos.
