This is a large, hinged Story Book pin with a copper finish, light blue highlights and ornate borders and details. The pin has a medium thin bordered edge. Inside, at the top, are two blue birds facing outwards and are wearing handkerchiefs on their heads. The left one is in light green and the right one is in lavender with an uncolored bobble and fringed bangs. Both birds have a their wings outstretched and the outer feathers are highlighted in a deeper, jeweled blue and their beaks are colored cream. On my pin, the bird on the right also wears a darker, jeweled purple vest and the tail is not colored in. Between the birds is an outline of a crown surrounded by a pillow looking border. The birds hold a banner that reads CINDERELLA in a blue calligraphy script with curlicues along each letter's edge. Beneath that is a blue colored slipper resting on a cushion surrounded by a halo. Underneath are two mice, Jacques on the left and Gus on the right with uplifted curly tails. Jac wears a blue shirt with pink shoes and his nose is also pink while Gus wears a blue shirt and blue shoes. Between them is a old fashioned key with two little blue hearts. The book clasp is highlighted with a jeweled dark purple and dark teal gem. When opened, the left shows a raised outline of the famous slipper on a puffy and three tasseled cushion. The slipper is high heeled with raised highlights and a raised, filled heart at the center right above the toes. On the right, the painting shows an off centered, towering castle in the clouds with a surrounding village and trees sloping down and towards the right edge of the pin. Underneath, in a heavy script, reads "Once upon a Time In a faraway land, there was a". The O in the text is colored in blue with a red banner behind it. Along the edge of the text are scrolls of vines and flowers and a bordered floral edge at the bottom. The back of the pin has two vertical posts without nubs. Centered between the posts is a medium sized crest which shows two scrolls bracketing a Mickey head icon followed by "Walt Disney Archives" and "Collection" in a banner that drapes across the crest followed by "EST. 1923" at the bottom of the crest and bracketed by scrolls. Underneath that is "(C) Disney" and below that "MADE IN CHINA". The pin is backed on a black flocked card which reads D23, Disney.com/D23 on the top left Mickey ear and "The Official Disney Fan Club" on the bottom. The back has a sticker that reads Storybook Cinderella Pin, the barcode WDP022, .95, Ronald Reagan Museum Store" Printed on the side border is P389-7448-2-12132 This pin was inspired by the Cinderella prop storybook shown during the brief live-action prologue sequence before the film in 1950. The front of this pin is similar to Pin 86153: D23 Expo 2011 - Fairy Tale Book Series - Cinderella but it is larger and the inside scenes are different.
