pamphlets in 1961.  This is new - unissued Government stock.  The books were sent to various government agencies as part of their civil defense preparation in case of a nuclear attack.  This booklet
, along with other documents, was stored at these locations to be issued to the public in case of an emergency.
The information contained within the booklet is still relevant.
Even if you are not preparing for a nuclear holocaust or other emergency, it makes for interesting reading and includes information on preparing for an attack – necessary supplies, precautions, building a fallout shelter, surviving an attack and recovery.
