Mercruiser Alpha One Motor Engine 230 hp 5.0 Liter, 305 CI V-8 Running Engine

Description

For sale is a very nice running 5.0 liter complete Mercruiser engine.  This engine was removed from a 1991 Maxum  boat that suffered stringer and floor rot.  This engine was only used in a fresh water environment.  There was no hour meter present on the boat.
Dry compression readings were 165-170 PSI  all cylinders.
This engine has a four barrel carburetor.
Carburetor was rebuilt, including new brass float. fuel pump filter was replaced, as well as spark plugs.
OEM thermostat kit installed, both belts were also replaced.
This engine is equipped with an EST electronic ignition system.  This ignition system was installed prior to the boat being obtained by our shop.
This engine will work for generation one, and generation two applications. This engine is standard rotation.
The engine was run on the test stand for well over an hour.  Engine parameters were monitored.  Ignition timing, Oil pressure, temperature, alternator output were all within factory specs.
Engine oil and filter were then changed.
