If you suspect you could have HD universals for a Klondike Drive that is not Mercruiser DO NOT buy this set.
This set is for actual type 1, pre-alpha and Alpha One Generation One Mercruiser after the modification they can no longer be called Mercruiser.

1992 and older Alpha One Generation One, Pre Alpha, MC 1 & Type 1.
I am also told these will work on all older Alpha One Generation Two’s 1991, 1992 and 1993. Newer than 1993 the universal change style and these won’t fit. But most Alpha One Generation Two drives have been replaced by then so you really need to contact some one with the serial number on the drive to be sure these will fit your Alpha One Generation Two.
There is an old model type 1 this does not fit and that is a 80 HP version with a locking lever on the port side of the bell housing.
I think these are made in China but the truth is I have never had a complaint about them. I have never had a customer say one of these blew out and I have sold a few thousand of these so my best opinion is there GREAT! I rebuild and resell about 500 gimbals a year and of course I have heard all the horror stories about Universals going bad. I even noticed that some of the above part numbers for replacement state for 4 cylinder or 6 cylinders but I have sold these to people with big block V8’s 454’s and there problems went away.
I would not sell these if I did not trust them.
