Very Nice HACKETT CASTINGS 1lb Brass Hammer - USA
Vintage 16oz 12" dead blow brass hammer by Hackett Castings.  Good looking hammer with medium stain link hickory handle and natural patina brass head.  Head face diameter is 1 1/16" with head length at 2 5/8", hickory handle goes through brass and secured at top of head with expansion wedges.
Head hasn't been cleaned or treated in any way since acquiring this hammer from a recent estate.
The estate was property of a gentleman mechanic who accumulated "back-up" tools of all types - sometimes 4, 5 or 10! This hammer appears to have never been struck - a few times at most -
closer to new than used.
Some folks love these heads left as they are and others prefer bright polish, so buyer can make that call and this unit in whatever direction is desired.
Excellent used condition.
No damage or cosmetic defects, original sticker in place on handle. Natural patina on head hasn't been altered.
